With over 30 years of success in the automotive industry, my client is highly regarded for components which they design and manufacture to improve driving safety and comfort. They in turn are very keen to employ a Product Design Engineer.
About you: - Formal Engineering qualifications.
- Previous automotive experience as a Product Design Engineer (minimum of 8 years).
- Technical leadership experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
- A strong understanding of the different manufacturing techniques.
- An accomplished communicator with exceptional written and verbal English skills.
- Highly experienced with Catia and NX - 2D & 3D, although Catia expertise is an absolute must!
- Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team environment.
What you will be doing: - The detailed 2D and 3D design of components and assemblies.
- Communicating with customers and suppliers.
- Ensuring that products comply with relevant standards, systems and codes.
- Meeting with Project Managers and relaying project information, timelines, etc.
- Developing documentation which includes and is not limited to project scopes, briefs, deliverables, etc.
- Supporting the team to ensure KPI's are achieved.
- Other duties as instructed by management.
